Patrick was not very lucky, was he. He’s pretty close to the age range, though. I think in the 1918 flu pandemic, 50% of the victims were age 20-40. And 99% of the victims were under age 65.

My grandmother died of 1918 flu pandemic. She was 33, my Dad was 18 months old.

consider that most people didn’t live normally past 65 in 1918 and that explains why 99% of flu victims were 65 or less. not surprising.
