I think her primary purpose was to show how they have a protocol now for bringing in new people. And also to show how some people can come back from the things they’ve done (like Rick) and others can’t (Clara).
Yep, I’d agree with that. And that leads me right back to thinking about Carol.
That makes sense.
The comic takes place over a couple years just like the show. The zombies don’t die they just slow to a state of suspended animation to conserve themselves.
re: World War Z:
the book was actually quite interesting!
read it first, and then watch their idea of zombies...they’re wild! the story line of the movie doesn’t follow the book very closely, and Pitt is a little too melodramatic, but the movie was good for zombie lovin’ fans..
NOW, my question..
the group found all kinds of military vehicles when they went off to the big box store with the falling zombies...why aren’t they taking the better bigger defensive vehicles, and why aren’t they using flamethrowers at the fence line??
that might be some good stuff to have had,; they’ll have to bug out with the HERD coming..
ME, I’d be packing a flame thrower.
Eugene most likely.
I think it might be him, too.
Maybe they aren’t using flamethrowers because there’s too much vegetation. If a fire gets out of hand, there’s not much of civilization left to fight wildfires. And wildfires would also decimate their local food supplies (plants and animals).
They should have better defensive measures by now, though.
uh, no.
See, when zombies burn, they keep coming at you. They are not scared of fire, and keep on coming.
So now you are being embraced by a FLAMING zombie.
You would have to spawn a new character.
ROTFLMAO!!!
Okay, I’m reading on a Walking Dead forum. There is a lot of speculation that Carol isn’t the killer, but is in fact covering for someone else-—Carl, Beth, or the girl to whom she gave her knife (Lizzie?). Quite a few folks think she might have walked in on the murders as they were happening, and helped drag the bodies out to be burned. It seems Gayle Anne Hurd on TD said “IF Carol is the killer”, which I guess I missed.
Any thoughts?
That's a reasonable question. How long were the vehicles sitting idle there and is the gasoline still good?
Flamethrowers aren't standard military issue so I suspect they're hard to find.........plus they require fuel
Hard to say since we don't know how they were killed. More importantly tho, we don't know if they had turned before they were killed......
But if I were required to make a guess, I would say Carl and that Carol helped drag them outside.......
Well, Hurd did refer to it as murder...and if Carol or whomever just put down two walkers, I don’t know why they would cover it up, you know? But ever since Sunday night, I’ve been having trouble understanding why Carol would kill two people who had already been placed in isolation. She would have to know that others had already been infected, and that murdering Karen & David wouldn’t serve as any kind of protection for the group.
See how this show messes with your mind? I can’t even accept a simple plot point without trying to over-analyze, LOL.
Me too and more often than not, I've been wrong.........
Interesting. I could see the potential for Carl doing it. Possibly Lizzie. I haven’t seen anything from Beth that might indicate her doing it. I could see Carol covering up for Lizzie more so than for Carl, because she’s basically adopted Lizzie and her sister (Mika).
What forum are you reading?
And I had another thought. Did you see how easily and quickly Rick was able to get through the fence to get to Carol when she was trying to fix the hose? Maybe the Governor doesn’t have a spy inside of the prison, but it wouldn’t be that difficult for him or one of his henchmen to get inside of the fence to lure the Walkers with the rats.
Yes, Carol’s maternal instinct has kicked in bigtime. The littler girl said that Lizzie was “messed up”.....what if she saw Karen and David when they were at the fence killing walkers and blamed them for Nick’s death?
Crazy speculation, but fun....
