Yep, we watch Defiance, too! Continuum is a great show and it explores time travel, corporate exploitation, future issues that technology we have right now can infuence for the better OR worse and how the future can be changed - it’s not set in stone.
LOL, he was. Did he ever fire that gun, or just carry it around?
I liked the old guy, though.
A study of hunter-gatherers over the past 40 years found that those who lived to 40 had good odds of making it to 60. The average life expectancy was weighted down by high child mortality and then deaths by violence and maternity. If you lived through 40 years of various pandemics, you had a fair chance of living until you were 70.
I remember at the start they tried to be very careful to not let zombie blood or guts touch their skin and get in their eyes or mouths, but then they came to realize that only being bitten (in a place that closer it is to the brain, the faster you change). Hershel was bitten in the leg, but Rick acted fast enough to amputate and Hershel didn't change. After what the CDC doc told Rick, they ALL have the virus and WILL zombify at death whether they get bit or not. Darryl and Glenn figured it out when they chased after the kid from the gang in the woods and found him as a zombie with only a broken neck and NO bites. What Rick told them, confirmed the scary truth. Then Carl killed Shane after Rick killed him and he came at him after quickly reanimating. That's also why Carl had to kill Lori when she died after the baby was cut from her by Maggie and also why the Governor stabbed Milton and locked him in the room with Andrea so he could "rip the flesh from her bones".
In TWD, the zombies DO eventually die if they don’t feed, just slower than we would. I remember someone saying that this last season.
Agree with you on that. Expand that first episode and you’d have a good movie.
What about that little girl, future lib, that said the Zombies were just “different”, not the walking, flesh eating dead? She’s probably feeding them. Some one probably already said this, but I haven’t read the whole thread yet!
God bless her.
Thanks for the Ping. Checking in from work. Have to watch when I get home tomorrow morning.
It was the governor's nerdy assistant, who was talking about Michonne's amputated pack animal zombies.
Most zombie movies don't cover this much time. In Romero's movies like Night of the Living Dead, the film takes place over a night, and by morning, humans have the upper hand and are wiping out the zombies. The longer the Walking Dead goes on, the more these details become an issue that is hard to deal with or explain.
Because Carl is in the group, a lot of compromises have to be made that exaggerate the issue as well. The actor is in the age where he is growing by leaps and bounds, and they can't hide that and keep him the same age.
For instance at the end of season two, they are camping right next to the prison, but don't see it. Then in the first episode of season three, they reveal that they have been going around in circles all winter, and finally find the prison back where they ended last season. The only reason they went around in circles for a whole winter is to account for the aging of Carl.
So because of the necessity to account for Carl, they have to find an explanation for very long surviving zombies. Otherwise, if it was just the older actors, they could have compressed all of the three seasons so far into a few months after the outbreak.
Awesome lady!
Yes!
I think it's just a gross red herring since the fence zombies can't communicate. The only ones feasting are the ones at the location where the rats are being fed to them......the rats were merely a distraction and one of the girls is the culprit.
Thanks for the picture. That’s a keeper. The inscription is perfect. Where was she stationed?
My aunt was a Army Nurse during the war. She, two uncles, my Dad and others are all on the rolls of the WWII Memorial.
Little lib.
I say maybe three episodes down the line after the group leaves the prison either tonight or next week..........
Don't forget, the Grateful Dead concert goers are heading their way..........
I don’t think anyone could keep her behind any barricades!
