I have never thought about reporters on our side being allowed into Hitler’s plane. I guess how else would we know those kind of things. It makes me realize how recent WW2 was, though. They were doing the same things we do today, with the reporters. It wasn’t the way distant past the way it seems in my head. That’s how I imagine my kids thinking about 9/11. Like how I think of Pearl Harbor.

I realize you're not much into history so I understand your confusion.
William Shirer lived in Germany, BEFORE the war, as an example. Obviously, no Ally correspondent would have been allowed anywhere near Hitler once war was declared.
