Please go back to your ivory tower. There a lot of regular hard working people that were dealt a different life’s hand that you were. We don’t want to be where we’re at, believe me. Your condescending views are recognized but not appreciated by the unfortunate ones.

“Your condescending views are recognized but not appreciated by the unfortunate ones”

Condescending? The Social Security Disability entitlement is as much about government dependency as it is about disability.

So pitying the obvious willing dependency the poster is espousing is condescending? Do you know how loose the definition for “disability” to qualify? We’re not talking catastrophic disability - for whom it is a necessary lifeline. We are talking fraud.

If you can function to the point where you can operate a household - deal with banks and purchase a home, odds are pretty good that you could function in some sort of employment. So I call it like I see it. There is a very good chance the poster - along with most folks on disability these days could function in some sort of job, should they care to get a job. They just don’t want to work for the most part.

So the condescension flows in the other direction. It flows from those who’s sense of entitlement makes them think that somehow they should get an unending cash flow from the taxpayers.

So are you collecting it too? Is that why you have an outsized sense of “gimme, I deserve it”?
