Wondering if anyone knows about home loan/mortgage programs geared to the disabled, and if anyone has ever gotten one based strictly on disability income.
Thanks for any/all info!
I’d say you are a right mess, snipe. :)
No offense.
I def have some of that like the memory problems but not sure mine are due to physical issues. Could be but it takes a long time and quite a bit of money to figure this stuff out and most doctors won’t be bothered.
Interesting read...thanks.
I joke about it a lot. My dad used to tell me "you do real good for an 82 year old man." Well now you can see why they can't put any one name on it LOL. It took me years to get this information. If I had know it at onset it would have made dealing with it and understanding it a lot easier.
One of my cousins was a Nam Vet and had chronic ear infections as a child back in the 1950's. He had it and spend thousands on doctors and no answers. I told him what it sounded like it was. Finally an old semi retired GP asked the right questions about his medical history including his childhood & being around artillery fire serving in Nam, and told him what I did. He didn't have the seizure issues with it though.
I'm lucky enough to still be able to drive or we'd really be up the creek. The seizures have thankfully stayed abobe my arms and in my shoulder blades and above so I can still drive. If it moves lower I'll have to surrender my drivers license and we'll likely have to move to town.

Not sure I really understand you, Peter.
Are you mocking me or trying to help me?

Thanks so much...those are nice.
The problem is going to be in the land though...most acreage is deed restricted so the living space in a home placed on it has to be at least 1000 sq. ft. and up. And even in most lake communities, one must have about 450 sq. ft. That little house I posted only has 399 sq. ft.
Found the above link for people selling tiny homes and this particular one is a container home, and nicely done. But it is only 320 sq.ft., so I am just not sure how one gets land to put these on.
It’s a laugh or you will cry situation.
I was wondering about container homes. That’s how the military lives on deployment. It’s not bad at all.
No, but I wonder how hot or cold it gets if it is not insulated. Wouldn’t want to be in one of those things in a Texas summer or a Michigan winter without appropriate climate control, ya know?
And you still have the problem of where to put it. My research into land around me would not allow one of those...heck, they don’t even want the park model homes like I want. Best, I can do is put it in an RV park but even then it would not be permanent unless I bought the lot in the park. Not sure I want to live around a bunch of people coming and going in RVs all the time, ya know?
I don’t know what the answer is.
