In the fall of ‘67, you could hear that on 50,000-watt KRLA at 1110 kilocycles. It would have also been on Boss Radio 93 KHJ’s playlist.

Artie Kornfeld went on to produce Woodstock in 1969. Great tune.

Great song...But the story of The Cowsills is a sad one to say the least.

I liked ‘Come On Down To My Boat’. I’m sure I still have the 45 somewhere.

Two of the brothers and their mom have passed. One brother died in Katrina. The group is still together or still performs a few times a year. More recent videos they can still sing. They were the group the TV show Partridge Family was based on. The Cowsills however could actually play instruments, actually sang their songs they recorded, and were/are a band.

The Cowsills were the inspiration for the Partridge Family TV show.
The song featured here should have been much higher in the charts than #31. This should have been top 10. Pure pop from the late 1960s - a time that seems so innocent from this vantage point.
