It’s a moose, not a species.

Brevard? I’ve visited but don’t remember seeing the white squirrels.

Baiting, scenting, and killing something at 300 yards using a high powered scope does not make someone a sportsman no matter how much you want to believe it does. Lazy ass coward? Yes. Sportsman? Hell no.
You should try it sometime. It’s like brain surgery. It looks easy until you try it.

I've seen a piebald wild turkey....

Albinos are not a separate species.
They are a common mutation.

They would have also been arrested as it is illegal to capture deer family members and raise them as pets.

Stupid much?
That is possibly the silliest straw man argument I have seen in a looong time to compare killing wildlife to abortion.
But go ahead with it you like.

And it is because of that type of thinking for which we need government protection of animals. I'd have "taken it" also. This wasn't hillside salmon. Hunters are the reason we HAVE the number of moose we do. Were it not for hunters, white tail would more than likely be extinct East of the Mississippi. The proliferation of wild turkey, especially in the NE is the product of hunters. Look what hunters have done for waterfowl. Just who do you think was responsible for the START of fish & game regulations in the US?
Disclaimer.....the above statement in NO WAY reflects on my dissatisfaction with government overregulation and/or overreach.

What makes you think you have the right to hunt rare species? You sound almost as arrogant as obozo.
Two things: First, what rare scecies are you referring to? Second, yours is the ironic post of the thread so far.

There are more deer today than there were when the Pilgrims landed and way more than there was at the turn of the 20th century. Same with bears and other native species such as elk, coyote, and fox. You might want to do a little research before you talk over your head. Game management, put in place by HUNTERS working with government, is what increased their numbers not people whining about pretty animals getting killed. How many animals have you senselessly killed with your car over the years?
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation deeds land every year for prime elk habitat. Duck Unlimited procures wetlands for duck/goose habitat. What have you done?

Some people have a vast self important capacity to declare a wide variety or ordinary things wrong for the primary purpose of elevating themselves in their own eyes It is epidemic. For example, Obamacare is perfectly legal, it is the law, but people still complain. A cop shoots a dog and people start wailing. Sorry, it is the law. A state outlaws an evil black rifle, still more wailing although it is the law. One can go on and on.

I would respect people more if they knew what they were talking about before they talked.

We know the significance and we've been teaching that to the non-native population for almost 500 years about the importance that this and other white animals played in our lives. We are not to harm them in any way, shape, or form because they could be one of our ancestors coming to remind us of something significant that's going to happen within our communities. It was so disrespectful having seen it put on the social media, and it's been an outcry and our people are outraged. Now let's all go enjoy some delicious all-beef franks. Who cares what the Hindus would think?

Same line of reasoning libs use for killing off babies that have birth defects.
Yes, if you think humans = moose.
i.e. if you are a PETA member.
Are you?
