It’s 6:17 AM on the East Coast, site down for “scheduled” maintenance.
I’m in a similar situation, with an added twist. I have medicare, with my former employer being supplementary, however my wife and minor children have my former employer as primary provider, for which I already pay $4,800 per year.
I’ve heard nothing from my former employer about obamacare, except every year, about this time, they tell me that “due to the affordable care act”, my premium is increasing.
My wife is 60, we have two children ages 13 and 14 (adopted).
That is exactly what Obozo and his minions want. They want to redistribute all wealth and confiscate all private property.
He will have a hot war before that happens. He does not yet realize it, but it will come. Why do you think they want to disarm us? They know at some point the public will wake up to his treachery.
FUBO!
On September 26 I got on live chat and asked if the smoking penalty applied to tobacco only. Amber (after about 10 minutes) responded that she didn’t have access to that information and to call back on Oct 1.
Too bad, cause I also wanted to ask if a person lied about smoking tobacco to avoid paying, which spy techniques they were going to use to catch them?
I didn’t know you had to wait until the end of the year for the tax credit. I thought they paid the credits to the insurance companies because people wouldn’t have the money to pay up front.
So if you took the $1200 and just saved the $800 you would have $9600 in case you did need to spend it on the deductible and if you didn’t you come out ahead.
You’re assuming I have an extra $2000 n disposable income lying around each month. :-) I actually do have employer coverage still; I looked into the numbers just to see how “affordable” it would be. This Act is going to wreak havoc on an already shaky economy. No new cars, no dinners out, no extras, people will be scraping by just to pay basic bills plus their premiums, not to mention deductibles and copays.
I don’t know how that works. I can’t believe this isn’t overturned.
I looked.
Page after page after page of questions. I was just looking but they wanted all my info before I could even look around. Very poorly thought out.
Give me the basic information. Then ask me if I want to sign up. Then I might ... I might want to answer increasingly personal questions.
I hated it.
