I love the weight of a book, the feel of a book, the smell of a book, the sound when you turn the pages.
They are also good for holding down tarps and raising up TV's!

My friend (the one who died in my arms in a helicopter over a volcano this past July) had a cell phone, a laptop, and a kindle back at the resort. I was able to crack the code on the cell phone and the laptop, but the kindle was locked up tighter than the nuclear football.
I shipped all her clothes and stuff back to her next of kin. The cell and laptop can probably be reused, but the kindle is destined to be an excellent door stop.
