Hope I haven’t told you this but my husband was a great harmonica player and loved doing it. He also could do that “train song” and it was great. I can just picture him sitting in his chair and doing that train. He could play anything but I loved “Lady of Spain” on the harmonica! His dad played the harmonica, too, when he was with us so guess hubby got it naturally. My kids tried but didn’t try hard enough! Wish they had! Now there’s no one around to play for me.

The harmonica is a very unique instrument. I had an uncle who was in an harmonica ORCHESTRA...and my late hubby Mike used to play it.

Once we were touring a Civil War Prison out in Boston Harbor, and Edward Rose Snow was lecturing about a Confederate prisoner who died behind the walls. He said that the Ghost would sometimes play the harmonica.

Hubby Mike sneaked his harmonica out of his leather jacket and started playing “Dixie”. Mr. Snow almost had a Haaaht Attack.
