Help me with this letter which I will be faxing to whoever deserves it.

“Dear Sir,

It is my humble opinion that it’s time you really spoke “truth to power” when you take to the floor, or to the press microphones, and tell the truth to the American people. It is your only chance to save your self and your family. You have an obligation to warn your constituents that the freebies will soon be over, so they can prepare.

We are bankrupt. There is not enough production (manufacturing) in the USA, therefore not enough tax-payer revenue, to pay our bills, never mind our accumulated debts.

We are at risk of being blackmailed by nations like Russia and China, who, at the drop of a hat, could dump our treasuries, and our fiat dollars. Actually, I think this has happened, from watching our President and Secretary of State’s fumbling mess of “foreign affairs. Nothing else could explain the weird behavior I am seeing.

When the time comes that tax revenue income fails to pay the demands of the growing “dependent” population, and their checks don’t arrive on time, or they can’t get their “benefits”, and can’t find a doctor who will see them, how do you think you will be received by those good folks in your home district?

You will be in serious trouble, won’t be able to go out to dinner, shop at the local market, or even take a walk in your neighborhood, and your neighbors will shun you, or worse.

There are unpleasant consequences for failing to uphold your oath to the Constitution, and you are failing. It doesn’t matter if you fail as an individual, or if you fail because you “went along to get along”. You will all be tarred and feathered, if not hung, by those you professed to “help”.

I am just a little old widow-lady with only a high school education, but when I watch you all in congress, I am reminded of the Titanic’s band. They played on, but they all went down with the ship, if my memory serves me. You do have a choice, and to fail to choose is also a choice. You are failing to think, to examine, and to choose the harder right.

Please pay attention to your part in the destruction of our nation, and do some serious thinking about the economic failure facing us all. I do hold you accountable, and am not pleased with what I see and hear from your lips.”
