Avis probably puts a $100 hold on your card when you make the reservation, but since they wouldn’t rent you a vehicle it should be refunded. Seems like they could have let you know before you showed up to get the car too. I would call the CC company to dispute the charges.

While a debit or prepaid charge card is an acceptable form of rental prepayment online, they may not be accepted for the credit hold required when you pick up your car.

They are claiming that I was a no show since they refused the credit card and claimed I had bad credit.
