Bringing these costs out to the forefront may indeed lead to a lowering of all healthcare costs. Why should it? How will removing the employee contribution to healthcare premiums reduce insurance company costs? Or doctor costs? Or hospital costs? Or pharmaceutical company costs?

I didn't say anything about just the employee contribution. I said bring the REAL cost of each employee's full cost of health insurance to the forefront. I would wager that most employees have no idea how much their employer is paying in health insurance on their behalf.
