This board had already made up its mind and was going through the motions to let the peons think they actually had some role. It was a managed and manipulated event by elitists unconcerned with what anyone thinks but concerned only about bad publicity. Exposing this charade, its deceptions and heavy handedness is part of the war.
I agree - the board was using the Delphi Technique. And to add to that the same is true of those who made a scene at the TSA. Someone has to take the first step to bring the issue forward for the public to see it.
The question is what to do?

Here’s the suggestion:
Join the board get active in school PTA, get loud damn it, make your voice heard, lose some battles, ruffle some feathers, and become known for being THAT guy! Make them squirm when you are at council meetings. Don’t give an inch! Get involved, make it personal!
Something my neighbors and I are starting is a community after-school teaching program where Every Wednesday a volunteer parent puts a 90 minute session in place, to teach more direct skill based lessons. (I plan on teaching electrical concepts and computers) but it can be even simpler start a story book reading, but do something! It matters not your age or even abilities we all have something to teach and wisdom to share.
All we can do is push this rock up the hill, and remember what we are fighting for, never show them your Back!
