we are on our third standard poodle, cant handle it when there is no dog in the house.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your furbaby. I’ve been there and it’s no different than the loss of a person and sometimes it’s worse. Prayers of comfort for you - yes, there are dogs in Heaven so you’ll be reunited someday.

Condolences. I’ve cried twice in the past 30 years, once when my mother died and the other when I had to put my dog to sleep.
The thought of losing our beloved little ones is almost unbearable. Be happy that you were lucky enough to have Maxwell share your life and your love. His little paw prints will be remain forever in your heart.

So sorry to hear about your loss. It might help with the pain of loss if you try to keep busy—reading, walking, hobbies, rather than dwelling on your pup. Each day that goes by slowly makes it easier to handle.
Since I lost my only child, all my kids have had four paws.

It seems, however, many wounds of losing your friends have been opened and for that I cry, but am so grateful for the sharing of grief. So, very sorry to hear this my Friend.. I know the feeling all too well.. I will hold my little fella, Zeke, (a 12 year old, Dachshund) a little tighter this evening in memory of Maxwell..
even moms aren’t like pets. moms love special but moms that love special still say and do bad things to kids. not pets.
my spooky boy turned 9 today. spooky because it doesn’t take much to freak him out.
