When I was Elementary School Age, I watched “Victory at Sea” and “The World At War” on TV. The showed WW2 without any censorship. “The World At War” shows up on the History Channel now, and I am astounded that I watched that program faithfully at the age of 9.
I polled my students to see what their teachers said in school today about 9/11. One didn’t even MENTION it. I kid you not. (Boca Raton, FL)

Also, Have your Kids watch the Program "102 Minutes that Changed America". Its on the History Channel right now.
Everyone needs to watch it and remember, again, no Narration, no Interviews, just the video of people there as it happened.

So did I--there was a lot of WW2 programming on when I was growing up. I don't remember NOT knowing about Pearl Harbor or the Holocaust. I didn't first encounter them in school.
