Listening to that blow hard Kerry. I was waiting for him to address the Russian plan, and he did and as predicted they’re pushing back on it and denouncing. Those are the talking points from this administration. “We don’t expect the Russians to follow through on this. We don’t expect them to do this quickly...etc.”
Why? Because it’s not about chemical weapons, and why should it care if it takes a month or three monts or a year? If they’re making a good faith effort to remove the weapons?
So, I’m thinking of what you said in your post before you posted it as I’m listening to this guy, who refuted the evidence of the Kurds being gased, and voted down our attacking Saddam. It all starts with a single premise, just one premise:
That Assad ordered and carried out the use of the chemical weapons a few weeks ago that killed 1400 people. If this is verifiable then one would have to scratch their head and ask why would he do that, esp when he’s winning the war, and when UN inspectors are in the country to inspect his chemical weapon site? Also, why gas helpless people? Why not go after the rebels themselves.
But guess what? It hasn’t been verified, and in fact I agree with you. This administration has lied to us before and will lie again. We know the end justifies the means with Obama. Always has always will.
I DON’T BELIEVE FOR A MINUTE THAT ASSAD ATTACKED HIS PEOPLE WITH CHEMICAL WEAPONS. THIS WAS A SET UP.
I’m also quite sure that Kerry and company will dismiss this offer, because it’s not about chemical weapons, it’s about toppling Assad.
If I’m wrong fine, but Putin made the offer not out of fear, he made the offer to show the world that Obama is a phony, to call his bluff. He knows it’s not about these weapons.
As a nation we need to stand firm and vote no to bombing Syria. Vote no for giving Obama any authority.
