I met a guy who live down in AZ in a house built by a retired Army Colonel. Had a full size firing range in the basement :)
Sadly, in today’s military you probably won’t find that many “kernels” that would do that. Besides which, they’d probably have an issue with the EPA about lead poisoning and sound attenuation.
