I retired 10 years ago to take of elderly parents. Dad died peacefully last year and Mom is still kicking.
After spending the afternoon in the eye doc's office with Mom, came home and, after settling her down, went for the mail.
New neighbor has a Pit-Bull and today this dog was loose. As I went to the mail box, the dog ran over to the middle of the street (perhaps 15 feet away) and bared his teeth.
His owners were in the yard but did not call the dog. At the same time a UPS truck stop in front of their house, but the driver refused to get out of his truck.
Question is "what steps do I take as a good citizen?"
The next door neighbors inherited the house from the girl's grandmother. The girl's husband is a born again Christian...but he was previously in prison for drugs.
Pit Bull is young but large and aggressive.
Freeper opinions appreciated.
BTW, I have cats who lounge around in the front yard. If this dog kills my cats...I am apt to become upset. And an upset Freeper (armed to the teeth) is not a nice thing to behold.
“Oh...never mind, you’ll probably poison them.” Only if my preschool children couldn’t play in their own front yard for fear of them being attacked by your “pets”.
I am sorry bro, I wish we were close as I would talk to these people with you.
Screw the cowardly neighbors, I would tell these folks how the cow chews the cud and go from there.
I would let them know that manly things would happen if this problem wasn’t corrected.
Keep in mind you are a man unlike most of the boys on this thread.
Oh, that’s smart. On the planet Stupider?
I noticed your replies always have a reference to someone being a gay, homo or whatever. You really seem fixated on the queer thing. If it were a justified response, maybe, but really it sounds like your projecting........
LOL.
I don't like cowards anymore than you do. God bless em...but they will get us all killed.
I like face to face sh!t.
I started this thread because I am worried about the kids next door (the mother of those kids is scared stiff of the pit bull across the street).
I think you'll find we have a lot in common, but if your ego is more important to you than the truth...I'll meet you...whenever and wherever.
you’re
Take every step needed to legally remove these dogs from the area. Learn the consequences, if any, if you were to need to shoot one. At minimum, carry OC spray and a firearm if possible.
Only 410 opinions on such a critical matter? Shame! We can do better.
I think Eaker has more in common with Alec Baldwin.
If you look at the statistics, pit bulls kill many more humans every year than great whites. So I guess you’re right, it’s not the same, but it is far from silly.
Philo, please attention to what I post. My dogs do not have access to the world outside of my fences. They are the product of a very responsible owner. I spend 90% of my time with them and account for their actions 22 out of 24 hours each day. The other two hours they spend sleeping at my wife’s feet. Attacking kids? Your idiotic mindset is simply astonishing.
He’s not a bad guy...but this thread has touched a nerve for him.
This thread is full of people who cannot read.
Got it.
Any guy who says what he did about someones wife, is a bad guy.
These cats belong to my 93 year old mother (whom I take care of)...and if this pit bull kills my cats...it will kill my mother.
To me, that is a critical matter.
Does this strike a chord?
Charming, lovely photos of a dog with his cat. How can you - or anyone - confuse that with what a dog asserting territory will do to cats who are strangers to him.
But we are tougher than that...my exwife could fight a bakers dozen of pit bulls and win. I love her because she is a killer.
She would wipe out Michael Vick's brood in five minutes.
Don't take it too seriously...times are tough and folks just want to transfer that pain to you...don't let them.
