Fools, every last one of you pathetic it's not possible for Paterno to have done any wrong PSU fans.
Is that you in the middle?
How the Hell did they all get so stupid?
Unless Paterno did not pay his phone bill, would calling 911 be too much to ask? If this had been his teenage grandson would he respond in the same manner?
All this didn’t take place at the downtown WMCA, it took place in the football gym locker room at Penn State. If Paterno had been told that McQueary had witnessed somebody vandalizing the lockerroom and knew the person, do you think Joe would have been more proactive?
Joe put MM into a meeting with the head of the University police based on sketchy, second-hand information.
Not sure what else you wanted him to do.
Call 911? Why didn’t MM call 911 if he thought what he witnessed warranted it?
Either one or both should have called 911 that night, not the university police.
LOL sketchy information, like witnessing a grown man in the shower with a young teenager is something you would have sketchy recall of. It’s not as if he told Paterno he saw 2 strangers in the shower, they both knew the man who was in the shower, so sketchy it was not.
The University Police in University Park is the de-facto police force. Even if someone had called 911 from off campus, they would be directed to the University Police for any action that took place on campus.
They aren’t rent-a-cops
When I say “sketchy information”, I guess I should say: “We don’t know what the f**k MM told Joe.”
As it was, Joe put MM in touch with the proper authorities, his immediate superiors, and that was that. Not sure what else he was supposed to do. Don a cape maybe?
Call a real cop maybe. Find out who the boy was maybe. It did happen in the football locker room. I’m sure if a few trophies had been stolen he would have followed up.
Paterno was a despicable swine.
The “real cops” didn’t do so well w/ the 1998 investigation, did they?
The University Park Police ARE real cops. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. They are the police. Period.
He would have check with any or all cops if trophies had been stolen. Especially if he knew who stole them.
Yeah - Joe cared a lot about trophies. Shows you how ill-informed you are on the topic.
He was a saint who wanted to protect the children, just so long as the children wore college football uniforms.

If the Truth is Out There, Ray Blehar Will Find It
Come to think of if, I may just post this on it's own thread to piss people off.
