John does what he has always done - cut through the media and their biases like a knife through butter.
When you couple this with Ray Blehar's work on rounding up the real culprits here (other than js, of course), you'll begin to see why I will not back down and I will not accept a false narrative. Not now, not ever.
Let God sort it out.
I don’t think JoePa got his due process. Btw, I don’t want to hear what if one the kids was your child. That is irrelevant and typical emotional liberal bs.
Endless. Unreadable. Pointless.
Chances that anyone will read this screed from beginning to end: 0%.
Chances that the author knows a difference between a university educator and a jock: 0%.
Chances that the author is capable of seeing the connection between the acceptance of pederast in the society at large, as nothing worse than ‘gaiety’, and its effect on the likes of Joe Paterno: 0%.
After all, the omniscient Ziegler has spoken, right?
Allow me to quote him, from the text above: "I have increasing doubts that he [Sandusky] is really the hideous monster he has been made out to be."
He's way past Paterno now - he's in Sandusky rehabilitation mode.
Whoever wrote that is trying to justify people in a situation where no one is justifiable.
Everyone is dirty. Sandusky, Paterno, McQueery, Spanier, the rest of the PSU admin, all of them bear some guilt.
It’s roughly a half hour read, and you posted a response after about 6 minutes. Does that say something about my post, or about your response?
What due process? He got off scot free.
Didn’t Joe Paterno say he wishes he “had done more”?
In the most important decision of his professional life, he failed. Not saying he was evil; but he decided to risk people not finding out in order to protect Penn States reputation.
Having a university president who had a goal of making PSU the most homosexual-friendly college in America didn’t help.
I knew he had lost it before, but I did not realize until then how low he had actually sunk.
“Unreadable.”
I couldn’t get much past the headline, which should have read “...Betrayal by Joe Paterno.”
The school in which I teach was recently embroiled in a high profile rape case. The state attorney general opened a grand jury investigation after the two under age rapists were convicted, in order to find out which adults (coaches) knew what and when. Although the investigators get great interviews with witnesses regarding the head football coach, when these witnesses get on the grand jury stand thier stories change. If a high school football coach has that kind of pull to keep his image clean, imagine what Joe had.
It’s a freaking book. If I posted a link to it, humblegunner or some other blog cop would be on me like the locusts on the Mormons.
Read it or don’t. Your choice. Like I said - there are 9 more chapters plus the Ray Blehar files, that will probably result in federal charges against PA officials - including (at the time) acting AG Linda Kelly.
But you just keep reading the headlines. I don’t want to tax your mind.
They should shut down the Penn State football program for good. What a disgrace. Everybody associated with the Penn State football program should hang their heads in shame.
A book? Who published it? Available in bookstores nationwide?
I did read as much of it as I could stand, including the bottom Vegas type bets unsupported by any evidence outside of the author’s head.
You left out the “In hindsight” part of his quote which preceded YOUR part of the quote.
That’s sort of like a Boston Airport security guard saying “In hindsight, I wish I had done more”.
See how that hindsight thing works?
Dude! Those are serious and verifiable mathematical calculations! They’re from the internet!
My God some of you are too dumb to be on this forum. Seriously. And I never thought I’d say something like that.
I think if you just spend months researching us, you’ll find that we are not the hideous monsters you imagine us to be.
