Every now and then the Friday Sillies make their own thread. OTOH decided to make monthly trip to get supplies early and picked up a little extra cash just in case.
Only problem was in Walmart Our schools start this week. All check outs were open with long lines and they actually ran out of shopping carts.
Lots of crying babies. Stressed out parents. But a joy to watch the grandparents with the young ones. They all seemed to be smiling!
Picked up supplies to distribute to families we’re sponcering thru church. These 30 hr/wk jobs are really hurting our young families. Including my son’s, who is trying to see the blessing of spending more time with grand baby. No day care needed as they each work different days and time of days The extras for the little one, as we could see today, are made up by older family. But guess that always been the case. Now too many of the older ones are also stretched to the limit
Sounds like your day was way more productive and thoughtful than mine so far. Been kinda lazy around here..hot and sticky. Splurging on Taco Bell tonight...lol. It is very sad what is happening to our country. I downloaded an economic book by Peter Schiff called ‘Crash Proof’ and am almost finished with it. Worse times are headed this way, it cannot be avoided at this point. Going to start refreshing my prepper supplies in coming weeks and making some adjustments in our ‘too small’ portfolio.
