Gives me a headache because I can’t remember what that globe is called. It’s quite real. It’s similar to Prince Rupert Drops. I used to play with these in the physics lab. Check out this video, it’ll blow your mind:

No I tried but photo didn’t turn out. but neighbor said it was a downy woodpecker. I looked at a photo online and it didn’t look like the downy that I saw. I will go to neighbors house in a day or so and ask him what kind of bird it was.
It had a black head. Long black beak. white stripe around neck. grey body with white breast. 6 1/2 to 7 inches tall.
Another neighbor said they stay here during winter and maybe it was looking for a nest?

I just remembered, last year I watched the same type of woodpecker with its young go up and down the trees teaching the baby how to eat. So it is a woodpecker. I will still go look in the neighbors book to see if I am correct.
Tell Tom thanks and any other info would be great. Heck maybe null and void is correct....it is a drone!!!!

Downy WP has white breast and black speckles on the back and wings. The male has a red crest you can see from a mile away.
A Nuthatcher is similar in size....
