second, a solar flare is very unlikely to destroy transformers and the power grid in the same way that a “Nuclear EMP” could do.
We have options in operating the grid during a solar flare that we do not have in the Nuclear EMP event that you were referring to in your very first post which did not apply to a Solar flare.
A solar flare does not impact electronics. You are now claiming that the entire grid will be down and will now impact wireless phone systems, refineries, fuel delivery systems, water systems.
You are refusing to own your initial error. Own it.

Solar flares can trigger a EMP. As I understand, it’s not 100%, but there is a very good chance (I can’t find statistics on it) that a solar flare can trigger a EMP in our atmosphere.
It’s a system, like any other, that when you dump a sudden large amount of energy into it, it responds non-linearly.
I think you’re actually a misinformed HAM radio operator, or you don’t bother reading much.
