Lee Oswald was a Communist sympathizer. One day he learned that the presidential motorcade was going to be driving right by the building where he worked. He brought his cheap mil-surp rifle to work with him and killed the president.
For the past 50 years the left wing press has been trying to absolve Oswald and cover up or deflect people from examining his political views. This is just the latest attempt at deflection.

One thing that the NPS makes clear at the book depository exhibit is that Oswald had in fact issued some threats to the FBI Dallas office because he was ticked off that the agents had been harassing his wife. Along with being a commie, there’s his motive.
