An Integrated Clinico-Metabolomic Model Improves Prediction of Death in Sepsis

If they can't find useful interventions, then it's only good for triage with mass casualties when the SHTF.

Interesting. If they could expand the study to see what genetic or environmental factors contribute to the condition they may find those interventions.

A while back I was in the hospital for a work injury that turned into gangrene. What was strange is that I had a parade of young doctors marching into my room because they had never seen the condition before. Some of them called it gangrene, others gas gangrene and still others, Sepsis. As you can imagine I was fairly confused about what I had when I left the hospital a couple of weeks later.
