Try home schooling! I coughed up over a grand last year in books, supplies, etc.. and still paid taxes to the county to not educate my kids.
That’s still cheaper than Public Schools. Don’t forget, your kids don’t need a new wardrobe every year.
Plus, if you’ve got multiple kids, the costs become negligible for the future kids.
For us, number 3 and 4 are high school (homeschool) Our budget is probably under $200 this year. Number 3 is also starting community college this year so we are paying his tuition.
