I just listened to Al Sharpton and I mean listened. What I heard bordered on insanity if offered as rebuttal to what Sharpton heard from OReilly. I believe OReillys accurately presented the reasons supporting his position on causes for the problems.
I believe Sharpton is attempting to appeal to a degree of ignorance I would not have believed just a few years ago,
Of course, different listeners would come away with differing conclusions but there must be limits to how different that difference can honestly be.
Here is a link to what I heard. Sharpton Fires Back At OReilly>
You make a good point ,but you answer your own point with your quote from Booker T. Washington.
These people who bait their own race are not insane, they are out to get all they can. Those who take the bait are those spoken of by Frederick Douglas. They have fallen off the tree or are ready to fall because they are not fit to ripen and are looking for the Government to tie them back on.
Resist I much listening to Al.
Sharp is typical all output drive and no cogitation. Situatonal awarness is a concept that escapes him and his audience. This group only hears the introductory first few words that trigger a predisposed line of thought. Any reasoning afterwards is wasted breath.
You present astute reasoning for your observation. It is like offering stimuli and soliciting an expected respond from an animal.
