She fell off her broom and hit her head while filming a movie and has never been the same.

Have forgotten the name of the movie but it also had Sara Jessica Parker and ? Adjami as other witches.

The movie was called Hocus Pocus and starred Bette, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimi (sp?)
