LOL another great idea....as a kid my mother braided my hair every morning in long pig tails...she pulled them so tight everyone thought I was oriental....I can still recall the hurt, especially if I had been a bad girl the day before....:O)
Braiding was for the summer, for me. Mom liked a more formal do for school. Geez...haven’t thought about this for years, but I remember her using long, thin rags to tie my wet hair tightly to get pipe curls.
