Mission Kansas Police Assault & Cavity Search Mother In Front Of Children

These are some highlights of Mission Police Departments Finest!

This is Mission, Kansas PD to be clear.

UPDATE 7/8/2013 - The lead prosecutor for Mission, Kansas, has communicated to our late criminal defense attorney that he would like me to remove my YouTube video of the officers arresting my wife. Should I choose not to remove it, Martin states he has the ability to get a judge to sign a protective order that would force me to take it down. Martin also mentioned some type of diversion if my wife would be willing to release The Mission PD of any liability as they were only responding to the Postal workers call. When all this is over I'm moving. I don't want to even live near Mission Kansas.

After nearly two months of being told repeatedly by the Mission police that there was no dash-cam video, here it is! It's a MIRACLE we even got it. The officers in the video are Michelle Pierce & Officer Tim Gift. Special appearance by the bald-headed officer who is NOT named nor even mentioned as being on the scene in the police reports. This officer is the one who was threatening my wife with having CPS take our two youngest daughters away. This could happen to YOUR wife & daughters next if these officers are allowed to get away with this!

-HOW WE GOT THE VIDEO- We had to have an attorney subpoena the videos of all three officers on the scene. We ALSO had our attorney request of the Post Office in writing AND in person for any video footage. We kept getting the same answer. "There is NO video!" FINALLY, My wife called the courthouse to ask about the videos. The courthouse transferred her to a woman named Suzanna at the Mission PD. My wife asked Suzanna if she had gotten a subpoena for video evidence. The woman instantly said "IS THIS ABOUT THE POST OFFICE INCIDENT?" My wife said "Yes", shocked that this woman already knew what the phone call was about before my wife could even explain... The woman quickly said, "There are NO videos." My wife then told Suzanna, "That's a LIE. I KNOW there is a video because I was THERE when Officer Pierce walked in & asked Officer Gift if his cam was on & he said yes. Officer Pierce then asked for Officer Gift's dash-cam password which he gave her in front of me!" The woman on the phone got very quiet. She then asked my wife, "So you were THERE-- IN the building?" My wife said "Yes! I was sitting RIGHT THERE!" The woman on the other end got quiet again & my wife then hung up. THE VERY NEXT DAY, our criminal defense attorney called & said he had good news. To his surprise, Officer Gift had a dash- cam video & they sent it to our attorney! Wow-- What a coincidence! =/ It's a shame we only got one video, but it's better than nothing.

ken5050- If you are “...NOT defending the cops in this case...”, then what in the world, are you defending?

Good thing she didn't have a dog in the car. They would have shot the dog and probably hit on of the kids. Then they would claim that one of the kids lunged at them and they were in fear for their life.

I'll have to check the voracity of this story because it looks like a skit. The bumbling LEOs can't be real cops. The one fat slob needs to stay away from the donut shop. What does the other guy have on his head? It looks ridiculous. The female officer putting on leather gloves??? Plastic or latex not leather. The goofy hat cop gives his cell phone to the other guy forgetting that it was his own phone?

If this is real, these officers are the new keystone cops. An embarrassment to the badge, to their department, to the state, to the country at large. This police dept can't really have people like these on their force. It's the three stooges.

The cops have the right to do so, but it was incredibly bad judgement on their part in this case.

Denying the existence of the tapes was more than just "bad judgement".

Here's an example where you DO defend a roadside search:

Police officer caught on video ordering woman to shake her bra during drug search

No. Nobody has a right to do that. Hell no.

Arrested and taken to the jailhouse, OK. On the side of the road...HELL NO!

Well I guess those really are Mission PDs finest.

See the WHOLE video here.
http://www.kctv5.com/story/22761476/man-alleges-mission-police-mistreated-wife

I can’t believe it. These bozos have nothing better to do than tie up 3 officers because the little kids put some stones in a mail slot. OVERREATION maybe??????

All the cops I see lately on video are all on a power trip.
Law enforcement is quickly losing my respect.

I don’t think anyone is saying cavity searches are uncalled for in all cases - but to do so at the side of the road is in nearly all cases uncalled for, especially in a case like this. She was accused of putting pebbles in a mailbox, not threatening to blow up the post office! In a case like this, it is almost always a tactic for humiliation and domination.

There is NO, and I mean NO excuse for what happened in that video. First, the alleged crime was “putting rocks in the mail slot” and “being disorderly”. They put her on the ground, handcuffed her, had her sit there for a long time and then did a complete and full search prior to putting her in a car for processing. She was wearing pants, for crying out loud. It should never have happened. I hope her husband and her sue for freaking millions and those officers are put on probation.

"I am NOT defending the cops in this case..their actions seem totally unwarranted.

However, Woman hides pistol in vagina explains why cavity searches are necessary in some cases....
"

And I've seen police in a police academy class go on and on with relish and glee over a history of one such incident. Also heard in a class, after a video of a girlfriend handcuffed on a front lawn in a drug case, "free _____!"

I've seen the corruption firsthand, and it was far worse than the details mentioned in the last paragraph. We need the other end of the default process: bond collapse, skyrocketing interest rates, repudiations of debt, bond investor and pension "haircuts" and all. We need the much smaller government and better leadership that will follow--especially the turnover in favored constituents lurking behind the politicians and giving orders to them.

We're morally bankrupt. Have fun. Enjoy the slide.

One aspect of this sort of thuggish brutality is that eventually a sufficient number of people will consider “preemptive retaliation” against police a necessary and acceptable action.

When that point is reached, the good people in law enforcement will get out and the thugs will be in total control of LE. The results of that will be very bad.

You both are probably taking for granted an item that makes this more detailed to a lot of our readers.

Mission, Kansas does’t sound like much to those that don’t know Kansas City. Mission, Kansas is one of the wealthiest old suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri.

When Ewing Kaufmann, the founder of Marion Labs and the inital owner of the Kansas City Royals wanted a home, it was in Mission, Kansas. This is not a “tough” area, it has no urban crime area or people traveling there of matter of course.

This is the rich kids police force community dealing with property crime occasionally and protecting the well heeled. Its the Hamptons of Kansas City in some ways. Now readers, visualize their variety of cops on that force.

"a tactic for humiliation and domination."

Sounds almost like they were trying to terrorize her and her family.

This will make them think twice, but you better warn them of its presence. At least it will get things off the roadside.
