Why are you vaccinating every year? It's every three here for rabies. Are you boarding her and have to vaccinate for kennel cough or something?

A lot of dog health problems late in life stem from over-vaccination, in my opinion, having had many live into their mid-teens, all fairly large dogs. The biggie is cancer.

I've been known to pay for a titer test in order to obviate the need for a legally required vaccination, I feel that strongly about it.

The Rabies I think is state law here {Tennessee}. I don't board them and usually in the winter is the only time they leave the house with us. We take them with us only when outside Temps allow it.

Rabies is kind of an issue in these parts. I have Coons, Yotes, Bats, stray dogs, etc to contend with. I'm in a rural area. Coons and Skunks are usually biggest Rabies risk. Possums are safe though LOL.

We titer also, starting this year. No more vaccines for us! You are right, of course. Many long-term illnesses, chronic and some fatal, are linked to over vaccination, although most vets are still reluctant to make the connection.
