My wife has had off and on weight problems over the years and normally doesn’t take offense when told that she needs to lose some weight to ease knee problems. Some doctors do use it as a cover-all for whatever the problem is and that does aggravate her.

Well if you are morbidly obese it affects your blood pressure, breathing, heart, digestion, hormonal balance, can cause Type 2 diabetes, and affects the musculoskeletal system, stamina, sleep and general fatigue.
Oh yeah and depression. There’s not much it doesn’t affect.

I was at a bus stop in Amish country....and a whole family of overweight Amish folk were also waiting....while snacking on junk food, fries, processed cheese and soft sugar loaded drinks....meantime a family of local rednecks arrived in a big SUV.....all over weight....one lady had a leg brace...the other was sucking on an Oxygen tube and the males had well developed beer bellies.

so you are what you eat.
