Since when does voicing opposition to having a homosexual in EVERY tv show or movie become “trying to agenda-ize everyone else”? Has FR now become PC to the point that no opinion other that yours can be voiced?
And, by the way, “Under the Dome” does suck......

"Dome" has bad acting, lousy dialog, and I believe minimal direction. I'll continue to watch only because TV Guide article says all will be resolved by the 13th episode. It was meant to be more of an extended mini-series and no one is contemplating if being picked up for another season.
"The Walking Dead" has been mostly unwatchable to me. How can these slow-moving easily killed zombies take over the world, when a small group of people can so easily kill and evade them? The movie "28 Days" with their lightning fast zombies were more believable.
"Falling Skies" depending on the episode, is watchable. Some episodes are soap opera, others have a lot of points of interest. Thought this week episode was the finale with all the changes that occurred. Although, I'm getting really tired of the Mason? family drama.

Yeah, the army is moving with the same sense of urgency I got from a Sleepwalking Senorita at the local KFC the other day. Reminds me of the time I stopped at a KFC in eastern Colorado. Walked in to the KFC manned by illegals...ordered my meal and was told "we don't got no cheekin'". KFC...no cheekin'? What's this world coming to?

“Actually what would be a good show is a bunch people trying to solve the mystery as to why everything Stephen King writes is made into a movie/Tv drama.”
In my opinion it’s better to have Hollywood screw up stuff that I don’t think is very good as opposed to tainting something that I think is really good.
Thank you Mr. King for attracting all the crap Hollywood deals with your crappola!

My daughter suggested a Roku. I had no idea what it was and went on an info search. Are you happy with it? I'm only moderately techo savy and self taught, so how would I fair with it?
I own all of Stephen King's books. What I like about them is the back and forth between the characters. King has a bead on how people react to things and his dialogue is killer.
That being said, I have never liked any movie or series based on his work. For some reason, it just doesn't translate to the screen after the writers rewrite everything. A few minutes into Under the Dome, I found that to be true again.
“The Stand” was the closest thing to a successful book to screen attempt in my opinion.

Speaking of which.....word on the street is that photos appeared of Janet Napolitano going 'under the dome' -- hence her rather sudden resignation.

Read the book and hated it with a passion. It’s so obvious a environmental message with no actual science behind it. The “bad guy” in it (the one with the bad ticker) is a thinly-veiled caricature of Rush Limbaugh.

First episode had interesting special effects, but no likeable people. The second episode was a homo-promo. Not watching any further episodes.

"Deputy Esquivel is a herowhat do you mean, shes not to bad?"
I just meant that she isn't - to me - a really compelling character, even if she is a decent one.

"But the most despised character is Lourdes....because she reads the Bible."
I've seen a smattering of episodes, out of order, so I don't know what becomes of Lourdes. I just bought Season 1 so I can go through the episodes in proper order. Since Lourdes is optimistic and religious, I half expect her to be killed off. (Please, no spoilers.)

"The highlight for me so far was when the corrupt preacher clumsilyand totally implausiblyset Dukes house on fire."
I was disappointed when he survived. It was almost comical how inept he was burning the envelope, and how quickly the whole house was engulfed in flames. Why didn't he just take the envelope with him and destroy it somewhere else?

Re: Roku
Easy set up as the on screen prompts walk you through it. You do need a TV with an HDMI cable input (and an HDMI cable, since the Roku does not come with one). One time cost, no monthly fee. You will need a wireless wifi router to run it.
We watch a ton of movies and older TV shows on Netflix ($8.00 a month) though the Roku. And there many other services both TV and radio and many are free.
