I don't know where you were, but Philippine cuisine can be very varied and tasty.

Granted... there ARE some weird things like balut, and I don't know your gastronomical preferences, but I've always eaten rice, veggies, a meat of some kind (usually fish or pork .. but beef ((expensive there)) also) and the table usually has 5 or 6 or 7 different things that you just take a little of (except the rice)


Oh yeah .. I'm married to a Filipina.

Zambales, her husband (my uncle) worked at Subic Bay. And the food sucked. Of course I was a kid, I would probably be more open to the cuisine as an adult.

I am married to an Italian so food is never an issue. :-)
