My 21 year old daughter went with her husband to see it last night. She texted me half-way through it, furious.
“This movie is kinda pissing me off. Basically a bunch of republicans and disgruntled soldiers get together to take out our black president.”
Why was she mad? REPUBLICANS and the MILITARY (she’s a patriotic Army Brat) had attacked the White House to overthrow a black president.
Really? Even Rotten Tomatoes recognized this as obvious political crap. (And RT also said that the guy in the movie is much more ‘black’ and ‘hip’ than our current president.)
I comforted her by reminding her that today’s Republican’s are spineless cowards who’d fold at a moment’s notice. Everyone knows this.
Thus, the movie is complete fiction and she is free to enjoy the explosions and Channing Tatum’s hotness.
Wow! Meanwhile, Obama targets the TEA Party, subverts the 2012 election, spies on Americans without warrants, wants to drone Americans on US soil without warrants (TY Rand Paul and Ted Cruz), loses the an Ambassador on 9/11, refuses to send in the military to protect America while she is being attacked..and Hollywood demonizes conservatives and the military. I refused to see that Ben Afflack movie, Sum of All Fears, because Hollywood changed the Muslim terrorists to South African white guys and I refuse to see this one. Screw both the bigoted Jamie Foxx and Hollywood.
Sounds like 7 days in May.
movies should come with a money back guarantee.
at least the ability to “jump” to a better movie.
This will be on dvd by the end of the month and in the bargain bin one week later.
