More than that, I’ve been told first hand by Somalis that they went to Europe as Refugees, got their European residence card and with that a VISA to come and work in the USA, brought one of their wives (because you cannot have more than one in the US) and some children (just enough to claim the max number of dependents on their income tax, the rest of the family and wives remain in Europe.
There have been cases (as a Sudanese told me) where Somalis will actually claim their children still in Europe as dependents.
It’s more messed up than most people think.
well and for us that have paid income and SS taxes our whole lives, paying for college, etc....we get told to work longer, and expect less....and no college schollies or grants for our middle class kids because we make more than minimum wage....
