I liked it much better when I could shut up any Res Sox fan by saying “1918.” As a Twins fan growing up in CT, I had to do that often. Now the Sox fans are just as bad as Yankees fans, maybe worse with all of that “Red Sox Nation” nonsense that everyone has now copied. It’s almost as annoying as THE Ohio State University.
There is a Red Sox moment worth mentioning - the Fisk “waiving it fair” HR in game 6 of the ‘75 series.
