I dormed in ‘82 and ‘83’ so I was on campus a lot. Don’t remember 0, but it was a long time ago, so that doesn’t mean all that much, especially if he was living off-campus with his Paki boyfriend.
IIRC, the anti-nuke piece was in some alternative rag, not the Spectator.
I lived on 112 & Riverside—across the street from Bank St School of Education. When I walked up to Broadway— Tom’s was just across the street.
I don’t recall 0 either. But some of the guys I did a poetry reading with in the Jazz room at the West End swear 0 showed up with a white girl on his arm.
I’ve actually read some of his poetry from the period. Its not crazy. It just meanders.
