I'm still here, still enjoying FR (you can try the rest, but FR will always be the best!), donating monthly, and enjoying the ambiance (and the right-wing wackos).
Maybe one of these years I'll find something to post, that hasn't already been posted by someone else (and someone else, and someone else, and ....).
I'm building a new computer, so if I disappear suddenly, it was because I failed to transfer/copy all my data correctly, and/or lost all my passwords (or the black helicopters finally came for me).
May FR reign forever on the innerwebs!! (Hmmm, what's that whoppa-whoppa-whoppa sound? Seems to be getting closer.)

This was a nice idea. I’m still going strong and just as interested but gave up my FR addiction. I still check it a couple times a week, but rarely join any conversations. My husband and I are retired and having a lot of fun and doing some volunteer work. I lost my mother last October and decided to spend some volunteer time at the nursing home where she lived. The staff and residents became like family and I sincerely enjoy my time there. There is so much to listen to and learn from their generation.
Main thing that has changed is that my Reagan-inspired faith in the GOP has been systematically destroyed by the events we have all witnessed. Now I cannot see them as anything but lying collaborators.
I’m not dead but this will be my first post on FR since last summer due to religious bigotry running rampant on this site at the time.
But not me you won’t!

Always great to hear from you old friend!! I’m actively looking for employment in TX now, so it could be sometime in the next 12 months.
Barring that, I’ve told the better half that once youngest son is done with high school in three years, I’m burning the house down, collecting the insurance and leaving for Texas with or without her. I just can’t stand it up here anymore.
Yeah, things are pretty grim these days, no doubt. These truly are times that try mens’ souls.
