Good Night Meg!
Pleasant dreams!
That is so beautiful, Meg. They have been talking about this a lot on t.v. yesterday and today. Its very exciting stuff.
I have too many trees and houses around for a view of the horizon..The east US is supposed to have the biggest moon view. I would drive and try a lake view..but I think it will not rise there. I may do some rare night driving.
;o)
P.S.
Thank (((you))).
What a weekend. My daughter and grand daughter came to visit. My youngest graduated high school and we had a busy day today. Off to the airport tomorrow morn for them to fly home.
Then Wednesday my wife, son and daughter head off to Nicaragua for 19 days with her mom and dad. Will be strange with no one around the house for 10 days.
Rus, just think of all the stuff you can get away with....you won't have to take out the trash, you won't have to change a light bulb, you won't have to watch something on tv (while the football game is on another channel), you won't have to mow the lawn until you want to.
BUT, best of all, you can hear their voices on the phone, every day, and tell them how much you miss them all, and love them!
Right you are!!! Will still be weird. :)
Sounds like a wonderful weekend.
Congratulations to your graduating son.
Your wife and family will have a great trip I know.
G'night, Meg. Thank you for welcoming us today, and for your hospitality! Sweet dreams!
Thank you to Everyone for the Wonderful Pings and Posts.
(((((Goodnight, and God Bless)))))
When airplane pilots are training, they spend many hours in flight simulators. These simulators give the students a chance to experience the challenges and dangers of flying an aircraftbut without the risk. The pilots dont have to leave the ground, and if they crash in the simulation, they can calmly walk away.
Simulators are tremendous teaching toolshelpful in preparing the aspiring pilot to take command of an actual aircraft. The devices, however, have a shortcoming. They create an artificial experience in which the full-blown pressures of handling a real cockpit cannot be fully replicated.
Real life is like that, isnt it? It cannot be simulated. There is no safe, risk-free environment in which we can experience lifes ups and downs unharmed. The risks and dangers of living in a broken world are inescapable. Thats why the words of Jesus are so reassuring. He said, These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world (John 16:33).
Although we cant avoid the dangers of life in a fallen world, we can have peace through a relationship with Jesus. He has secured our ultimate victory.

That is truly gorgeous, yorkie. I love full moons but don’t get to see them much. I don’t like to fool around outside in the dark by myself.....don’t know why as this is the safest place I could be.
WHEN THINKING ABOUT THIS IT SEEMS LIFE ON EARTH IS A SORT OF SIMULATION OF OUR ATTITUDE AND OBEDIENCE REGARDING GOD.
DO WE HONOR GOD? LOVE GOD? SEEK TO LIVE ACCORDING TO HIS INSTRUCTIONS? DO WE LOVE OUR NEIGHNOR AND OUR FELLOW MANKIND? DO WE FOLLOW JESUS AND HIS EXAMPLE OF HOW TO PLEASE THE FATHER? IF NOT ... WHY NOT? DO WE SUPPOSE WE CAN DO ANYTHING WE PLEASE AND HAVE NO CONSEQUENCE WHEN IT IS NOT ACCORDING TO THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD?
AFTER DEATH IT IS TOO LATE TO GET IT RIGHT!!!

Awwww....simply adorable, Kitty
Sinclair Lewis novel Main Street tells the story of Carol, a sophisticated city woman who marries a country doctor. She feels superior to others in her new small-town environment. But her husbands response to a medical crisis challenges her snobbery. An immigrant farmer terribly injures his arm, which needs to be amputated. Carol watches with admiration as her husband speaks comforting words to the injured man and his distraught wife. The physicians warmth and servant attitude challenges Carols prideful mindset.
In all of our relationships as Jesus followers, we can choose to think were superior or we can humbly serve the interests of others. Paul, the apostle, tells us, Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others (Phil. 2:3-4).
We can learn to consider others needs more important than our own as we focus on Jesus example. He took the form of a bondservant, and gave Himself up for us (vv.5-8). When we fail in valuing others, His sacrifice for us shows us the humble, better way.
