Latinos, should be a natural constituency for the party, Paul argued, but "Republicans have pushed them away with harsh rhetoric over immigration." ...he would create a bipartisan panel to determine how many visas should be granted for workers already in the United States and those who might follow... [and the buried lead] "Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers... [Rand Paul calls on conservatives to embrace immigration reform]
- ...by softening its edge on some volatile social issues and altering its image as the party always seemingly "eager to go to war... We do need to expand the party and grow the party and that does mean that we don't always all agree on every issue" ... the party needs to become more welcoming to individuals who disagree with basic Republican doctrine on emotional social issues such as gay marriage... "We're going to have to be a little hands off on some of these issues ... and get people into the party," Paul said. [Rand Paul: Time for GOP to soften war stance]

One day after announcing on his radio show that he is "truly considering" running in 2014 for the U.S. Senate seat now held by New Jersey's Frank Lautenberg, Rivera amped up his message today in a television interview and a column on the Fox News Latino website... a moderate Republican who is fiscally conservative but also supports gay marriage and Roe v. Wade... [Geraldo Rivera declares himself a 'moderate Republican' as he eyes U.S. Senate run]

they will be getting more in benefits than they pay out in taxes. I wouldn’t expect a professor to understand that.

This is typical thinking today. Never mind what it will do to this country in the long term, they are more concerned about what it can do for them in the short term. It’s this kinda what do I get for free if I vote for them that is screwing our children. Hence we get Obama. Thanks Aholes.

Well as we were told over and over, that’s what they want anyway- to come here and work, do jobs Americans won’t do.
To: Olog-hai
Theyll Be Supporting Us In Our Retirement Age Lol, the majority of them would probably be working lowering paying jobs and accessing federal entitlement programs, as well as drawing a few thousand per year in 'Earned' Investment Tax Credits.
Most will be a large net drain on the federal treasury, and state and local treasuries.

Just shows how little the Congress and FedGov thinks of the current baby boomers and euro-Americans in general. They think they can replace a highly educated motivated group of citizen-taxpayers with uneducated third world peasants that are generations away from real productivity - if ever. But in their minds we are all alike.

People need to understand the Peon culture and the way it works before letting these people in to stay. They will never have any loyalty to this country only to the local strong man who provides their simple needs and they do not care beyond that. It is alot like the Irish and Tammany Hall days. This is why the drug cartels in central America are so successful. Here their allegiance is to the field boss whose allegiance is to the labor contractors. Within this all their needs and protection is granted. From pay to housing to transportation. Even as a buffer with law enforcement. This system is why the Dems like it so much. It fits nicely into Communist ideologies. Enough of these folks in the country and you don’t have to deal with American individualism anymore.

This is the economic thinking that’s guiding this country. These professors are intelligent, but lack common sense or human nature. They are overly immersed in theory

We currently have $110T+ in UNFUNDED liabilities already....but 11M more LOW skilled, semi-educated workers (when we have 14%+ unemployment) is going to fix SS/Medicare and the rest of the golden oldies?
What’d this dipshit get his degree in? basket weaving?

Really?
I bet most of these legalized invading barbarians will qualify for “Earned Income Tax Credits” rather than paying Social Security.
Assuming, of course, they actually file taxes at all.

Funny then how they aren’t responsible for the institution of the welfare state, social security, etc. We did that one all by ourselves.
