AFAIK, dogs are “unclean” animals in terms of sharia much like hogs etc. Such a nice blowback:)
I was reading up on that after some muslims next door complained about a neighbor’s dog wandering loose (overweight, aged, bad legs, etc.).
Seems some think dogs are unclean, others not (Quatar has a large dog population).
But - a couple years ago in Spain dozens of dogs were getting poisoned, believed to be by muslims.
