Nonsense!

Browsers do not execute code on “latest posts,” just read HTML.

What did you delete? It must have had a file name if you could delete it.

I’m using Norton Internet Security 2013 and haven’t seen a thing like you described. Huh?

Got a pop up message from Security saying the problem was being dealt with, no need for further action. It was embedded in a photo posted of some guy’s girlfriend. He was the topic of the thread where the photo was posted.

If it has a red frame at the top it is a fake Microsoft Security essentials message. Use Task Manager to kill your version of the browser and launch again. It is actually hard to get rid of that malware:

Do a google search on:

Microsoft Security Essentials popped up and said it had detected *Trojan: Win32/Jpgiframe.A* specifically and had quarantined it.

I then checked the box next to it and deleted totally from computer.

This happened a total of 6 times within about 3 minutes while I was viewing the latest post page.

Hasn't occurred since.

A little concerned about what the hell happened.

I just logged on to FR at about 10:30 and saw this warning, checked my MSE and found the virus. Eliminated it, but it’s on the main page somewhere-I hadn’t clicked on any posts yet. Is Jim Rob responsible for checking this?

Got to be in a JPEG that was displayed on the latest post page because I didn't click on that thread.

Thanks for the info.

Had it on my sister's laptop. Don't remember the site but the URL was definitely not Microsoft. Looked like a real Microsoft Security Essentials scan but wasn't. Deleted history and cookies through Internet Options and did Disk Clean up. Ran Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware. They didn't catch anything so those previous actions may have killed it.

It wasn't a scheduled scan, this occurred during real time monitoring.

99.99999% sure this was the real Microsoft Security Essentials.

Seems to be confirmed by several other Freepers.
