Mr Ditter and I hunted mule deer in Mexico, across the Bay of California from Baja. I am an avid arrowhead and artifact hunter. While Mr Ditter was scouting the area for deer, I was watching the ground for arrowheads. After a week of walking and looking I found absolutely nothing!
In the sand dunes near Kino Bay, you can find painted pottery, regular potter, and rock chips from the making of stone implements. I didn’t find any arrowheads but did find a drill chipped from charmelion (sp?) volcanic glass. Rugged and very dry desert on both sides of the gulf. I have to admire the Seri who live there now.
