At least with societal norms there are understood boundaries. Yes, they can be unnecessarily restrictive, silly, and/or neurotic, but I suppose a line (or fuzzy gray area) needs to belong *somewhere*. The alternative is the freakfest we are witnessing today, and the party is just getting started. The cracks are appearing in some individuals who are so in need of a rigid overlord that they convert to Islam.

Having given God's laws the boot, the culture is drunk on the pseudo-freedom of embacing everything sick and twisted, while using government force to mandate acceptance. No surprise. Government must be the thug enforcer, because the new "normal" is anything but.

We will increasingly see more laws dictating rights for the degenerate and psychologically corrupt. IOW, if the government says a particular conduct is good and normal, those who continue to answer to a Higher Authority are expected to knock that off and comply by debasing their moral standards, or else suffer persecution under the weight of the law. Kind of like how the government officials in Babylon suggested laws to the king... laws that conveniently made Daniel guilty of a capital offense.
