Yea I have to believe on some level they dont know because parents are not parents anymore
__________
You and I are writing about two different things.
I see that you’re saying that moral values should be instilled and that things such as video games and public schools are bad for children, and those are good points.
However, I wasn’t writing about higher functioning capabilities of people. I was pointing out that all humans, barring, of course, those with extreme abnormalities, know why they do things, so “I don’t know” simply is not an acceptable answer to a proper authority’s questioning “Why?”.
For example, a newborn, before receiving moral guidance and if he could speak, would be able to answer if asked “Why are you crying?” by saying “I’m hungry.”
I honestly believe some parents are not instilling morals and values in their kids and that is why they do these these. My grandmother always said you start the day you take the baby home from the hospital. Trying to teach this girl at age what? 16? That to kill her classmate is wrong is way too late. She should have already known. She should have already developed a conscience. Somehow her parents failed her I fear.
