Good question. It reminds me of those shocked by the discovery a man in Britain was demonstrably related to a man who lived 9000 years ago in the same little area, after investigating DNA salvaged from the latter. I guess it could be considered cute that many journalists think Europeans must have come down on sunbeams rather than having lived and died and left descendants like people everywhere else on earth.
I remember that. The skeleton found in a cave was called “Cheddar Man”. He was found in the town of Cheddar. The direct descendant was the school teacher.
