120 mph on a 1984 Honda Magna V65, on Hwy 36 in Colorado. I had about 40 mph in reserve, but something told me to slow down.

I was only doing 70 (in a 55) when I crested the hill and was pulled over by the State Boys, otherwise I would probably still be in jail.

hehehehe talked my way out of a ticket one time. I was on I10 headed west in an Oldsmobile Achivea rental. It was new at the time so had some guts. I was going 90 and got pulled over by a Texas State Trooper. He asked me if I knew how fast I was going. I looked at him with a straight face and said about 60. He told me I was doing 90 and I exclaimed Oh crap! This is a rental and I drive a POS 20 year old rattling pickup! It felt like I was doing about 30!

He laughed and let me off with a warning.
